What is a “hand-printed original?”

Every single print you see here started as a hand-carved linoleum block. That's right, no fancy laser cutters here! Printing ink is rolled over the block, paper pressed on top, and either burnished or run through a printing press to transfer the image. Because each print is made by hand, they may have tiny variations that make them one-of-a-kind. Therefore, each print is an original piece of art.
