Bloem
Bloem is the Dutch word for flower. This print was inspired by a story about my friend Claudia’s grandmother digging up the snowdrops in the early spring, potting them up, and sharing them with friends. Claudia’s grandmother has the last name Bloem, and I couldn’t think of a better name for this special print she has inspired from one side of the world to another.

The linoleum block for this linocut print was carved by hand using Flexcut carving tools. Ink rolled onto the block using Cranfield Colours metallic gold. Each print is inked and run through the press by hand. Due to the nature of the hand printing process, each piece will have slight variations making it one of a kind.
