Painted Bunting- Drypoint Etching - two color variations

from $32.00

The male painted bunting has a bright blue head, orange eye ring, and a red breast and belly. Its back is yellow/green, and its wings mix purples, greens, and blues.

Painted Buntings spend their summers in the United States and Mexico. Their summer range is mostly in the U.S., with only a portion of Northern Mexico near Texas included. Winter migration takes them deep into Mexico and Central America.

Painted Buntings prefer a scrub-brush habitat and are more likely to appear in rural areas. Scrub-brush refers to a semi-open habitat feature on a mix of trees, shattered shrubs, and weed patches. It is usually untamed and unsightly.
